GET TO KNOW ME

Fact: I was born in Berlin, Germany.

I'm also semi-fluent in German! Überraschung!!!

Fiction: I love drinking water.

It's true, that's false. I can't explain why. I think it bothers me that I am drinking something that has no taste. Which brings me to another fact: I'm weird. I know.

Fact: I began acting at the age of five.

One of my very first performances was at the Kennedy Center, where I performed in a series of one-acts. I went on to play roles in 'Dark of the Moon', 'Charlotte's Web', 'Cinderella' and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', to name a few.

Fiction: I moved to Los Angeles directly after high school to pursue a career in acting.

Quite the contrary. I went on to attend Michigan State University, where I received a BA in Criminal Justice. I'm still trying to work that degree into my acting. Where there's a will there's a way.

Fact: Since moving to Los Angeles, I have worked on over 30 film and television productions.

I have been blessed to be able to work on everything from student films, shorts, independent films, feature films, webseries and television shows, along with numerous commercial productions. I started out doing background and non-paid gigs before slowly working my way up to co-star, dayplayer and principle roles. My first notable role was in Judd Apatow's 'Funny People'. I remember auditioning for Judd off to the side of set. My only lines were: "Come on Steve. Do it for everybody at the health center", which I had to yell at Adam Sandler while he stuffed his face full of Nathan's hot dogs during a hot dog eating competition. To this day, I am forever grateful to Judd Apatow and Adam Sandler for those two quick lines. It gave me a huge boost of confidence that was so beneficial during a tough time in my career.

Fiction: Acting is my hobby.

Acting is my passion. I wake up with a fervent desire to do it every day.

Fact or Fiction? I was born an only child, so I am very much spoiled, selfish and headstrong.

Fact AND Fiction! I AM an only child, and I have only ONE of the characteristics listed, but I am not saying which one.

I'm a mélange continuously evolving, juxtaposed with thoughts, dreams and light, and bearing a calling: serving and assisting the less fortunate. My passion is helping the homeless population in Los Angeles. It's why I do all that exists on this website.  I have my reel work and my real work. The former keeps me hopeful, the latter keeps me humble. The two keep me unapologetically me.
